Red Sox Notes Boston Aware Of Costly Inconsistency At Fenway Park

Red Sox Return Home f0r Seven Game Homestand

Hoping to Snap Losing Streak at Fenway

Red Sox Lost 12-2 To The Diamondbacks

The Boston Red Sox entered a clean slate Monday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, opening up a seven-game homestand at Fenway Park. They were fresh off a winning road trip that saw them split a series with a first-place team and sweep another, but they've struggled to find success at home this season.

The Red Sox have relied on their offense all throughout the second half of the season, but it was their pitching that let them down against the Diamondbacks. Starter Nick Pivetta allowed six runs on eight hits in just 3 1/3 innings of work, and the bullpen wasn't much better, allowing another six runs.

The Red Sox are now 28-34 at home this season, and they've lost five of their last six games at Fenway Park. They'll need to turn things around quickly if they want to make a run at the playoffs.

Manager Alex Cora was disappointed with his team's performance on Monday night, but he's not giving up on them. "We've got a lot of fight in us," he said. "We're going to keep battling. We're a good team. We're capable of winning games."
