About Governor Walz

Tim Walz is the 41st Governor of Minnesota. He was first elected in 2018 and won re-election in 2022. Walz is a Democrat and is known for his progressive policies on issues such as education, healthcare, and climate change. Prior to his election as governor, Walz served in the US House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019. He is a veteran of the US Army National Guard and worked as a teacher and coach before entering politics. Walz is married to Gwen Walz and they have two children.
