Zurich Classic of New Orleans 2023: Format, Leaderboard, and Defending Champions
Unchanged Format for 2023 Event
The 2023 Zurich Classic of New Orleans will retain the same format that has been in place since 2018. The first and third rounds will be played in a four-ball format, while the second and fourth rounds will be contested in an alternate shot format, also known as foursomes.
2023 Leaderboard Update
The 2023 Zurich Classic leaderboard is currently led by Davis Riley and Nick Hardy, who claimed their first PGA Tour victory at TPC Louisiana. The win marked a special moment for both players, as they are close friends and Presidents Cup teammates.
Defending Champions Return
Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele, who won the 2022 Zurich Classic in record-setting fashion, will return to defend their title this year. The duo hopes to continue their impressive partnership and bring home another victory in New Orleans.
