Real Madrid Vs Man City First Leg Stats

Real Madrid Remain Unbeaten in Champions League Knockout Home Matches Since 2018

Thrilling Draw in Manchester Keeps Title Hopes Alive for Both Teams

Madrid's Impressive Home Record Continues, Setting the Stage for an Intriguing Second Leg

Real Madrid's remarkable run in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages on home soil continued on Tuesday, as they held Manchester City to a 3-3 draw in the first leg of their semi-final clash.

The draw extends Madrid's unbeaten streak in home Champions League knockout matches to 15 games, a run that stretches back to a 2-0 loss against Schalke 04 in March 2018. Since then, they have won 12 and drawn 2, scoring in each of those matches.

The first leg in Manchester was a thrilling affair, with both teams trading blows in an open and entertaining encounter. City took an early lead through Kevin De Bruyne, but Madrid responded with goals from Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior.

City regained the lead before halftime with a stunning strike from Phil Foden, but Madrid once again leveled through Benzema in the second half. Substitute Riyad Mahrez put City back in front with a penalty, but substitute Rodrygo's late equalizer ensured that Madrid will head into the second leg with a crucial away goal.

The second leg will take place at the Bernabeu on May 4, with City needing a win to reach the final. However, Madrid's impressive home record and their ability to score goals in the competition will give them confidence that they can overturn the deficit and reach the final four for the seventh time in the last nine years.
